Corinne Grassini is a California-born fashion designer
and the founder of Society for Rational Dress.
With a major in sociology, Grassini earned her degree from the University of Washington before attending design school in her early twenties. At age 22, after completing a patternmaking certificate at Central Saint Martins, Grassini designed the first collection for her label, Society for Rational Dress. From 2002-2012, Grassini designed four collections a year as she directed and managed a team to develop and produce them. Alongside the Society for Rational Dress collections, Grassini designed private label collections for department stores such as Barney's New York and Anthropologie as well as Satine, Japan and Onward Kashiyama.
Currently, Corinne works with fashion brands to focus their design and merchandising plan as well as their development strategies. She consults with both new brands looking to launch their first collection as well as existing brands that need an outside perspective to tighten up their processes and invigorate their collections.
